How to Make:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place the pudding mix, egg and cold water in a large bowl. Use an electric beater to beat for 1 minute or until the mixture thickens slightly. Fold in the walnuts.
  2. Divide the mixture among four 250ml (1-cup) capacity ramekins or ovenproof dishes. Top with the pear.
  3. Sprinkle over the sauce mix from the pudding mix packet. Pour the boiling water over the pudding mixture.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until a cake-like top forms and a skewer inserted halfway into the centre comes out clean. Serve with cream.

  • 1 x 260g pkt Green's traditional chocolate sponge pudding mix
  • 1 egg
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) cold water
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 beurre bosc pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) boiling water
  • Thin cream, to serve
